According to the DEA website, "In order to become a DEA Special Agent, you must successfully complete all phases of the rigorous, in-depth hiring process. This process may take up to 12 months or longer". So, if the 6c age cutoff is 37, would someone need to be 35 or younger to realistically have a chance to get hired?

Well, I received the email invitation to complete the initial online email assessment yesterday afternoon. But of course I would receive it in the midst of thrashing to finish my term papers for this quarter
. For those of you that have already completed the 1st stage of the online how long did it take you? I'm trying to budget my time appropriately over the next few days.

NO on the conditional offer re stopping the clock! Clock stops on your appointment date!
All the conditional offer does is act as a basis for pre-employment screening and testing.
I would agree that 35 is nearing the edge of completion eligibility as it will take at least 12 months in the hiring process.βIn order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.β β Miguel de Cervantes

Finished the second stage of the online assessment this evening, I thought it's structure was fairly clever.
That said, has anyone heard a what sort of time-frame were looking at for the rest of the process to unfold?

Is the second stage the one where they ask you at the end where your relevant experience lies ie: pilot, language, etc?

Has anyone heard anything beyond the two online assessments? I'm certainly not trying to be impatient with the process, I'm just wondering when to expect to hear anything about what the next step in the process is.

Info I received from the recruiting office was online assessments would continue through September, possibly longer. If you applied and hadn't received any invitation to the assessment, wait until Oct 1 to contact them. If you received an invite for the first one, but not the second, contact them immediately.
Other than that, they said to sit back and prepare for the PTT...we're in for a long process.GatorFutureSA

I submitted the second part of the assessment questions, over 3 weeks ago. I'm wondering if anybody, in the NYC area, has heard back from them? I just want to get the inside scoop on how the physical was conducted and how the interview went. thanks!!
