    Pay

From what I hear BOP is a great job...

In terms of pay as a SA ICE tops out as a 13 so Im sure in the long run, in terms of pay, someone would be much better off in ICE then BOP. Unless they held some kind of supervisor role?

Does any have a time table for career progression to GS 13 if you start as a 5 with ICE?

    Is it 1 year from 5-7, 1 year from 7 - 9, 1 year 9- 11 and then 1 year 11 - 13?

Yea the BOP is a great job. Im considering leaving because I want to put my degree to use. Really within the BOP, I cant see myself progressing professionally as I do with another Agency such as ICE. I think as for as the career progression with ICE, its non competitive till you reach 9 but dont quote me on that. I think after 9 you have to compete for 11 and 13.

i have had my application manager account for about a year now and my ICE CI app has not "linked" yet. so not only can i not see if my documents went through but it doesn't even show the ICE CI position in app manager. after reading posts on this forum and others it seems like, for the most part, that the ICE CI position has showed up in app manager. i'm just assuming that mine is not going to link to the app manager acct. do you think this is something i need to check on?

I would think if you took the test and got a email that you passed, I dont really see it as a problem. I would check on it to make sure that my documents were faxed correctly, so I dont think its a big deal, but it does answer alot of questions when it comes to your documents, so I would check on that.
