Just took phase I
Well I just finished taking the FBI phase I test today. There were about 60 of us there and the agent in charge told us straight up that half of us would fail the test. I know the FBI does not disseminate scores, but if a grade of "no pass" is issued do they tell you which part of the test you did not pass or do they just give you the overall verdict?
It doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world were as it should be, to show it what it can be.

There were 20 of us, 2 females. They told us 60% WILL pass. He also tolds us that only 1 will be a SA with the FBI

At first he did say 60%, but then he said it was more like 50% for whatever reason. Of the 60 of us 13 will be passed on to Phase II. Each office apparently has a specific number of slots allocated to them.

I took the test last week and never heard any numbers like that from the AC. We were told that it would take 3 weeks to find out how we did. I was suprised when I checked the mail this week (exactly 1 week from test date) and had a letter from DOJ saying I'd passed.
Question: Will we be told to submit an SF-86 for the FBI or is it something you do right after Phase I?
I know for my FO, they select 9 applicants every two months for Phase II testing.

That's what they told us too, that it would only take a week to receive our scores. I'm leaning towards thinking I passed, but I wouldn't be that surprised if it went the other way.

I do not remember the FBI giving any statistics during the phase 1 test I took. All I remember them saying was that it is very competitive and that we should start working out now for the PFT. They also emphasized the critical skills that they were looking for. During phase 2 I do remember them giving a statistic but I do not remember what it was.
You can download the SF86 from OPM's website and start filling it out now. If you do not pass phase 1 you can always use it for another agency or hold onto it for resubmission the following year.
Good luck in the process!!

So, do I submit an SF-86 now that I've passed Phase I or do I wait for someone to tell me too?

Wait until they ask for it. Your applicant coordinator will guide you through the process.

This point cannot be emphasized enough. The PFT is not a joke. You need to start a serious training regimen right at Phase I if you are not already on one.
