Uspp
A hotel in Arlington, VA (Crystal City) or Alexandria, VA (Old Town area) might be an extra 5-10 minute drive to SE DC and a few more bucks but a lot nicer.

Best idea is to not get a hotel near Anacostia, if you are not familiar with the area, then even more so. Also, for those that want to try and go on the cheap and take the metro to Anacostia and then walk/bus/cab it from there, again that is not a very safe idea either.

As for Hotels, I agree about the area (shady) Try Crystal City, Alexandria, etc… Metro is your friend. Buy a Metro Card; costs $5.00 and you can load it with as much as you need, better in my opinion than paper tickets.
Try any of the various Hotel finder sites for a better grasp on prices and suchDepart not from the path fate has you assigned- a fortune cookie.

Just stay outside the area like around Bowie right at Rt. 50 and Rt. 3 then drive into town early am.
Best option IMOFinally done

USPP and the BIG Blue Book
Ok as Im sitting here working on this I think I rather be doing the SF-86... but to my point of this post
Ive done some searching on this topic but I would like to see what people have to say esp since USPP does there own BI
Now remember everwhere I lived over the past 15 years isnt hard..Thats only 8 places... however two "neighborhs" for each place.. now Im not the first to say it but... I dont usually assoc with my neighborghs.. usually in big apartments with high turnover.
So what does the board say? any thoughts thoeries.. .anyone been though this with USPP in particular... what did they say?
18 days and counting.....

I had the same issue on my SF-86. When I called the agency with this question they said if I don't put down neighbors, put down those that knew me when I lived there. That's what I did. I'd give them a call first. Could be different from what they want.

Ok here is a question...
I have lived in the same area for a couple of years...However I have moved around a year here and year there.. do I really need to be listing 2 people per address even though I only move 20 mins away...
One more question.. What do i put for Present Selective Service Classification... I mean I am registarted is that all there is to it?
ThanksLast edited by SDEMEDIC; 04-04-2006 at 12:51.

For the SF-86 "neighborhood references†you just need to list people who knew you when you lived there. If at all possible you should avoid re-using names in another section of the 86.
What usually happens at or before the BI interview is that they will generate what is commonly referred to as “Developed Sourcesâ€, those are in addition to names you already listed.
Make sure you read the questions about residences and jobs, often times going past the specified year mark makes the BI take longer… I know this because of a mistake on my own part.
Point of advice, if they have not already sent it, you can download the SF-86 in PDF format at: http://www.opm.gov/forms/html/sf.asp
I would say to keep a copy and update as needed.
On the Selective Service Question, list if you know your “classificationâ€. Not sure if they give those anymore, but if you need your registration number; visit: http://www.sss.gov/Depart not from the path fate has you assigned- a fortune cookie.
