Let's just pray that the March 15th board is the "real" board and not the fake one we supposedly passed in December!

I heard that man. Hopefully this "board" will shed some light on a possible academy date. I might have to put a phone call into Human Resources to make sure that board meets and everyone is present.

No kidding. I called today and was told that the board will meet next week. I just hope they get everything squared away for classes after the May academy.

Needless to say, the fingers are crossed.

When do you know the BI has completed? Started?

You will know your BI has started when people on your SF-86 are contacted. The OPM guy will probably call you as well. Keep checking with HQ to see the status of the BI.

I called HR today and the person who has helped me along gave me this...
The selection board met a few weeks ago to select for other positions, not the DUSM job. Things got hectic in the selection room and they postponed the remainder of the selections to this week, the week of 3/15.
According to him it was questionable whether or not they would be reviewing the 082 packets.

This of course contradicts what I was told yesterday, which was that they were indeed meeting and no one would know their decision until the following week.

This of course contradicts a previous post by Icthmus that he was told by HR that he was selected by the hiring panel that met this week.

Dont ask but I was at the academy exactly one year from when I took the written. Was just coming out of the military so maybe that helped.
