Who here is done with their application packet and ready to go, but hasn't yet received the call? I'm not in the April class and i'm wondering who i'll be chewing dirt with in the next FLETC class (whenever that will be...)

I guess it's just you and me, Kadcop. Maybe more people will come out of the woodwork in the next few weeks...

    Welcome, ChiefWiggum!

5 of 24. Over 20% of the class already if we all get placed in the next CITP. I'm bringing my car...I'll start the bidding for a ride to SATC at one free breakfast at the Laurel, MD Denny's.

I haven't heard anything...I think we're all hoping for April hiring panels with June EODs.

One question: Are the sit-ups for USSS the standard "someone holds your ankles, arms crossed on chest, bring your elbows over your knees" kind?

    Thanks Devron!

I know that other threads have mentioned that the situps are arms-crossed-over-body, and not behind your head, but I'm also curious about whether we'll have someone holding our feet. I'm sure we all want to be training the right way (although any training is better than none!).

I have recently decided to appy with USSS and found out today they will accept the TEA I passed for ATF in July. Can you guys give me a time frame as to how long you have been in the pipe line? Wondering how long with hiring process is lasting.

Also, and I am not asking anything on how to beat it or avoid it (I have passed many) so moderators please keep your collectives shirts on, but is the USSS still using the two man interview technique on the poly? I hope that does not violate board rules just asking if they still use a particular method of poly. Just trying to decide how much I am willing to endure for the gig.

Have a great day and good luck pals!

    Sit-ups

Cross your arms over your chest and grab your shirt at the shoulder. Sit up and touch your elbows to your knees. Someone will hold your ankles/feet when you are being tested. (No bouncing with the pelvis)

    I hope I'm #6

STILL waiting to hear SOMETHING...ANYTHING (as long as it's good news) after I passed the poly over 2 months ago. I was told the timing looked good to get in front of the April hiring panel and a June EOD. However, I don't know if that anticipated this long lag-time between poly HQ sign off and BI. I'm getting nervous that I'll miss that April panel and have to wait another 3 months or whatever it is between hiring panels.

Hey, all. Just thought I'd chime in.
Best of luck to everyone on the shelf. I hope you guys hear something soon and get into the June class. There's sure to be some sort of overlap between my class and the next, and I'd be glad to meet everyone from this thread.

Welcome, Pawnone and ChiefWiggum, to the USSS threads! Regarding your questions, Pawn:
It took me 14 months from dropping off the app to getting the call. However, from what I've heard amongst the SAs here in my FO is that two years is closer to the average. I'm not sure if that particular question regarding the USSS poly violates the forum rules, but you'll be fine, regardless of the number of examiners (you've passed them before, so it's nothing you haven't seen before). "Just trying to decide how much I am willing to endure for the gig." You've gone through other agencies' processes, so you already know full extent of the FLEO application process pain. In my opinion, the poly ain't half as bad as the wait. Good luck and thank you for your service as a PD Detective!

Hang in there guys and gals!

I just crossed the 1.5 year marker myself - and I have no doubt that this job will be well worth the wait.

Thanks Hope2b - congrats on getting hired, I hope to meet you and the others down at FLETC in a couple of months!
