G B I (new thread)
Thought I'd start a new thread since the last one was fairly dated.
What have you guys heard?
Who's still in the running?

We do not know what the exam cut off score is. Hopefully we'll know soon. Thanks for all your help regarding the information you have posted Macleod. I am hoping the cut off score is not higher than 75.

Really?
Really? That's good news. Did she say any word on when they will send out interview invites?

Flippin Sweet!
If that is the case then I am thrilled. I made a 74 and did not think that-that score would even be close.
My fingers are crossed tight in hopes the info you received is correct!

Does anybody know if it will be PT first and then interview or the other way around? Their hiring process looks to have the same steps as the GSP.

11-30-2005, 10:01 #8Beav, the GBI website (http://www.ganet.org/gbi/specagt.html) states in the selection process for SA that the personal interview is first, followed by the PT. So I would imagine that if you are successful in the interview, then they will evaluate your physical fitness level.

I'll make some calls about the PT issue and see what the deal is.

OK...the PT test does follow your interview. It is modeled after the Army PFT; push-ups, sit-ups, and 2 mile run. I will check with a buddy at Training to see if applicants have to "pass" or just demonstrate a proficiency. Also, there is a trigger pull test after the PT test.

Macleod, do you know if the PT is the same day as your interview or will it be scheduled at a later date?

In the GSP process the first interview is just to make sure that all your application marterials are in the right order, so they can get ball rolling. The fit exam is on the same day. Then panel interview would come at a later date. I noticed that both hiring processes look to follow same path. Maybe Macleod could find out if the first interview is the panel or not.

Called GBI
Spoke with GBI today and they did confirm the cutoff of 74 and above. Looks like I will at least get an interview !
Best of luck to those who will be getting an interview as well. In my excitement, I forgot to ask her when they will be sending out packets! Does anyone know when they will be sending those out?I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work.
