Crazy excited!!! I just got the confirmation that I've been nominated for Phase II! Apparently they have openings still for December and a bunch in January.

failed first PFT, but have finally kicked a bad cold bug and am ready to get back into training. I know I am not too far off on getting the magic score but that 300m is tough to recover from.

Any tips on the best way to increase endurance/recovery as it pertains to the 300m? I have just spent more time doing sprint and interval training. I have also hired a personal trainer to get me in peak condition for retest in a month or so.

any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I am processing out of Newark, NJ. We took the Phase II in the NYC office. Which field office are you processing out of?

I just received notice that I will be testing for Phase 1 in Dec. The information on this site is great.

I guess your Phase II will be in NYC also. Make sure you are on time! One person showed up 1-2 minutes late and was not allowed to take the test. I stayed overnight to make sure I wasn't late.

Welcome drano0127. Good luck on your Phase I.

That might be a familiar theme. I felt the same way (and it grows with each passing step in the process ). In the time span it takes your AC to tell you that you have passed Phase II your thoughts go from pipedream to "oh, I might actually become an agent, whadda ya know!"

Also, people have started asking me what I want for Christmas (I know for some that would be a QT date, but my AC said February, so I hold no illusions it could be that much sooner) and I'm tempted to start rattling things off I need for the QT!! Now that I am nearing adjudication I'm trying to be positive (like my coworkers who keep asking how much longer til they can have my days off), but I tell them "I could also receive the thin letter any day now."

Ohh, the stress that comes with the process.

I imagine it only grows with time (right BobLee, et al)?!?!

    SA investing constraints

I've looked through all the material I could find to get a better picture of how investing activities are restricted for SAs.

I have series 7 and 63 licenses, so I know what insider trading is and how not to do it. I also realize that as an agent one might come in contact with inside info on a fairly frequent basis.

That said, trading is an important hobby of mine. No, I'm not glued to the market all day. My day job is my #1 priority. I have some automated trading systems that I run and I take some discretionary trades.

Is actively trading basically a no-go as an agent? I wouldn't have a problem with my trades being audited.

Any information (references to exact policies would be great) would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, it's like a bell curve. At the first stages, I wasn't sure what would come, so I wasn't worried too much. Once I passed Phase II and it all become more real, I was a ball of nerves. Then, came frustration with the waiting. I've totally calmed down now, and just go about my business as usual knowing I may receive a call any time and to just be prepared for it. Good luck! I am excited for you!

My AC said she'll be trying to fit me in a January Phase 2 slot. I'm not too worried about the PFT that follows (if I make it that far), but I'm a little weak on the situps. Any tips on feasibility of getting a good situp score within 2 months of training?
