Next stock tip

I'm not as 100 % certain with this one, as I am with all of the others. However, knowing how people react, this one sounds like a good bet. Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Why? Because Warren Buffet announced he is buying the company, or a major portion of it. His bet is that the railroad industry will continue to compete and do better than the trucking industry.

I shall take a stab at it.

--- Keep in mind- all of my picks are mere hunches - less than probable cause or reasonable suspicion - lol

footballplayr83 is an unknown quantity at this point
Interesting thought. At $97 its an expensive stock to get into. I assume you are thinking this is a long-term option, as it already gained around $20 when Buffett annouced the deal, so I'm wondering if there is room for much more short-term profit?

Short term was the definite thought - when announcements like this happen, the stocks basically always make a huge jump up -- Right now? Tough call, it might go back down a bit once the hype is over - post hype, it should be a good long term one - BUT, again, my hunches are really just for the short term - having already missed the $20 bump up, I'm not sure how much more it will pop up -

BNSF has been a good stock for quite awhile, and was at a pretty decent price prior to the $20 bump. However, if you buy a stock after a news story like that hits, the only person you are making money for is the guy who owned the stock prior to the announcement.
