The Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Kudos to Pete (don't know his last name). He is here in NYC right now, running the NYC marathon, with a 50 pound pack, fatigues and boots. He's doing it for a great charity "The Special Operations Warrior Foundation" , which gives scholarships to the children of special ops soldiers who have died in the line of duty.

I'd like to add that the foundation only pays out about 8% per year in administrative costs - meaning 92% of what they receive in donations goes directly to the children. That is a MUCH better figure than the vast majority of charities out there.

Olive Drab is an unknown quantity at this point
My old teammate was KIA 2/9/07 in Iraq. His parents created a charity to help Ranger families when theyve ran out of options due to being wounded or KIA. We have an event in NYC in a few weeks to raise money for this great organization to help other Ranger's and their families. I dont know the percentages for admin costs but knowing Jimmy's dad, I would think its safe to say that 100% or damn near to it, goes to the organization with him covering expenses out of pocket.
