FBI vacancy annoucement for current 1811's

To mods,
I started a FBI thread with very specific questions regarding a new annoucement. This thread was moved to an ongoing FBI thread and buried within...I was already getting pertinent answers to my questions...these were two distinct threads one is for non-1811 applicants and mine was targeted specifically for current 1811's to participate...sometimes in an effort to clean up the forum you guys tend to overdo things...

The FBI is a single agency employing 1811's. It is not necessary for a separate thread addressing each kind of different applicant that the agency may be seeking for the same job. If that were the case, we'd have a separate thread for people applying to the FBI from an IT background, another for folks applying under a "diversified" background, etc. It's the same job. I'm sorry you feel that it is somehow too laborious to look in the current FBI thread, but hundreds of other applicants seem to have no problem posting and finding info there.

I hate multiple threads with the same crap too. But I have to agree. There is a HUGE difference between a lateral 1811 announcement with pay retention as is this unusual situation by the Bureau and the general vacancy announcement.

Indications from FBI recruiters are things will be handled different for those currently 1811's which may prompt new questions and time lines totally different from the rest and may confuse many.

That's exactly why I initiated a new thread...

So far, that seems to be the ONLY difference - pay retention. Otherwise, Quantico, same training, and again, ultimately the same job as for every other applicant, regardless of what small differences the hiring process may involve. I merged it and still stand by my decision. Any currrent 1811 applying to the FBI - i.e. a trained criminal investigator - should be able to easily find the info they need in the current FBI thread.
