Curious..what happens to pilots in the military (particularly jet pilots) when they develop presbyopia (the need for reading glasses) after they hit 40 or so. Even the pilots who have had (and will continue to have) 20/20 vision will need reading glasses at some point. Elective surgery does not correct this condition. So, what have older pilots done in such cases? Can they carry their reading glasses with them and quickly pull them out if need be?
