    Tax Compliance Officer

I did not see any forums created for the Tax Compliance Officer (in SB/SE) role within the IRS and so I decided to create one.

I am looking for information on what one can expect to be doing in the role as a Tax Compliance Officer (TCO) (in SB/SE) for the IRS, besides the fact that a TCO ensures that SB/SE comply with all the requirements of tax exemption by planning and conducting examinations and related investigations of individual and business taxpayers, plus analyzing taxpayers' financial conditions and related operations.

How long is training, where can one expect to be training, and anything else you can think of.

Is it best to start off as a Tax Compliance Officer and then later on move into becoming a Revenue Officer?

Does one receive soft or hard credentials as a Tax Compliance Officer-like say a badge as a Revenue Officer does?

Any information you can provide would be much appreciated!
