Well They Took our 3rd Gen Glock 22's away and gave us 4th Gens.

They just issued everyone 4th Gens so far they seem ok, the grip can be a little rough on your hands, they seem to have less recoil then the 3rd Gens, What do you guys think of them?

I trained on the 3rd gen in the academy, and was issued a 4th gen once I graduated. LOVE IT. I put a rubber grip over the sand paper grip.

Are you guys talking about the RTF (Rough Textured Frame) grip? If so, I definitely agree that after a few mags it can start to hurt. But isn't the purpose of that grip to provide superior hold even for sweaty hands?

I enjoy my 3rd Gen Glock 22 a lot--and to be honest, the recoil never bothered me. I'm aware that the Gen 4s have a new recoil system, but is the difference really that significant?

They seem to Recoil a bit less, I dont think that the 3rd Gen had a lot to start with.
