Hey guys, I'm new here, and I just got accepted to the academy! The bad news is I was recently diagnosed with exercise induced asthma, and I have gotten medicine for it, and a nose spray and inhaler to use 15-20 minutes before exercise.

My problem is that when I run I have to take breaks to walk because I can't catch my breath due to my passageways become so inflamed. I've only been on the pill for one day (obviously it will take longer to work), and today was the first day that I ran after using the nose spray and inhaler, and I noticed a bit of a difference.

I've talked to a lot of my law enforcement friends and they said that int heir academies a lot of people used inhalers and asthma was pretty common. Just wanted to get more opinions on the matter and how you dealt with it. If you have an inhaler/nose spray/pills, how long did it take for you to notice an actually difference?
