I understand that this a broad question, but what would people say are the best and worst aspects of a uniformed LE position?

I am sure there must be great satisfaction from helping someone in need and thereby making a positive contribution to society, if not one's community.

On the negative side, aside from the obvious ones, like getting hurt, is dealing with the public especially frustrating?

Is being a PO particularly challenging in this environment where it seems like every week we hear about an officer shooting someone. Are all the bodycams and videos out there making a police career even more difficult than ever, or does help with accountability and to weed out the ones who don't belong in uniform in the first place?

Thanks.
